I consider myself to be a minimalist, distilling complex concepts into a moment.  Most of my inspiration stems from my childhood.  My interest in design emerged from my love for cartoons, initially imitating the style of the greats: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ren & Stimpy, ThunderCats.  I eventually evolved from an American aesthetic to Japanese styles as I grew older.  The design language and expression used in animation is the basis of my current work.

I must admit, capturing moments through photography was not my initial goal.  As I started designing, I realized I wanted my own stock photos, I didn’t want a reference from someone else’s perspective.  I picked up a camera, a 50mm lens and a macro lens for details. Eventually, I realized how much I enjoyed visualizing the intricacies of human emotion expressed through the images. I’ve since simplified my kit by using minimal Leica and Hasselblad systems. Film ain’t dead by the way.

My purpose is to clarify your vision, using my expertise in graphic design and photography to create imagery that reflects you or your product, in a way that transcends language and reproduces the intangible emotions of your idea.
